ME Apartment,
The Rental Transformation: A Tailored Family Nest
Styling for a 60m² apartment in Tel Aviv. completed
Located in one of Tel Aviv's quiet yet popular residential neighborhoods, the ME Apartment was a high-quality rental with a "blank canvas" feel. The clients, a young couple with a baby on the way, faced a common hurdle: they wanted a home that felt permanent, sophisticated, and tailored to their new life as a family, but without the structural overhaul of a property they didn’t own. The goal was to inject character, warmth, and storage into a space where we couldn't move walls or change the core flooring.
To achieve a high-end look on a rental budget and timeline, we focused on strategic interventions that achieve maximum affect on a minimum budget.
Color Blocking as Architecture: We used bold, sophisticated color blocking on the walls to define "zones" within the open-plan layout. This created the illusion of architectural separation without building a single wall.
Lighting: We replaced standard rental fixtures with distinctive light fixtures that acted as focal points, immediately elevating the perceived value of every room.
Kitchen Optimization: Recognizing that the existing kitchen lacked sufficient storage for a growing family, we added storage that integrated seamlessly with the original layout, providing the utility they needed.
The result is a peaceful, character-filled haven that belies its status as a rental. By focusing on color, light, and smart storage, we transformed a generic property into a vibrant, functional home ready for its newest resident. This project proves that with the right vision, you don't need to own the walls to make a space truly your own..
