G39 Apartment, Tel Aviv
A Sophisticated Urban Sanctuary for Multigenerational Living
Renovating 120 m² Family Apartment in Tel Aviv. completed
Buying a secondhand apartment in a new building often comes with "hidden" architectural scars. For an older couple moving to Tel Aviv to be closer to their grandchildren, the G39 Apartment offered great potential but lacked a clear identity.
Previous owners had tweaked the layout multiple times, including removing a wall that left the public space feeling patchy, uneven, and disjointed. The challenge was to integrate these disparate elements into a seamless, high-end home that could accommodate large family gatherings while remaining a quiet haven for the couple.
To "heal" the floorplan, we performed a strategic architectural cleanup. We removed additional unnecessary walls to open the communal flow, then used custom-designed cabinetry as a unifying thread throughout the home.
Functional Storage: Bespoke units in the entrance and dining area provide the massive storage requested by the client without cluttering the visual field.
The Palette: We curated a refined selection of neutrals and earthy tones. This palette was chosen specifically to bridge the gap between existing elements and our new additions, creating a sense of "quiet luxury."
Generational Design: The layout was reimagined to feature a spacious master suite for the owners and a dedicated, welcoming guest room for the grandchildren, ensuring the home functions perfectly for both daily life and family celebrations.
the transformation turned a fragmented apartment into an airy, grown-up, and peaceful haven. By focusing on custom carpentry and a cohesive material language, we delivered a space where every square meter feels intentional. It is now a home that feels both expansive for a full family dinner and intimate for a quiet evening in the city.
