Aro is a Barcelona-based footwear brand that specializes in a fresh, artisanal take on the classic sneaker.
The spatial concept balances a professional open-plan workspace with a gallery-like showroom, defined by a sophisticated juxtaposition of raw industrial textures and a refined, clean color palette. By maintaining a neutral architectural backdrop, the design allows the vibrant, multi-colored footwear to serve as the primary visual interest.
The architectural language is centered on the tension between exposed concrete elements and bespoke interventions, such as the plywood display counter. To integrate the building’s exterior assets, floor-to-ceiling glass partitions are utilized to maximize natural light and dissolve the boundary between the workspace and the courtyard, allowing the greenery to become a seamless part of the interior. Strategic linear lighting and circular-motif shelving further define the zones, creating an environment that is both highly functional and a sophisticated stage for Aro's playful identity.
